Mykyta Kamenyuka: "I expect a more aggressive game from Ukraine"

Former Ukrainian national team player Mykyta Kamenyuka told NV what he expects from our country's national team in the match against the Poles.

Mykyta Kamenyuka

- What are your expectations for the Ukraine vs. Poland match, given the grueling match against the Germans?

- I expect a different game, more aggressive from Ukraine. Perhaps there will be a change of tactics, a rotation in the lineup. I think this will be the game. The national team will play differently than in Germany. I think so.

- In the match against Poland, can we already see how the Ukrainian national team will try to play at the Euros against Romania and Slovakia?

- Anything is possible. I think that's how the sparring matches were selected, to see different tactics, different schemes, different combinations of players on the football field.

- So we can say that the match against Germany is an example of how the Ukrainian national team will play against Belgium?

- Perhaps the coaching staff wants to confuse all their opponents. I personally expect a different game. It seems to me that it will be completely different than in Germany. I don't know if this is due to the strength of the opponent. Or the fact that the coaching staff and players want to try something different, play some other kind of football. I don't know what it will be connected with. I think it will be a different game.

- It is likely that Mykolenko will not play against Poland again. There is a function to replace him with Matvienko. What kind of defense center should we expect, given the fact that we need to close Levandovskyi tightly?

- The center of defense must be reliable. At the same time, the players must play actively forward, give vertical and diagonal passes.

- Ukraine's national team is estimated at 342 million euros, while Poland 's is 222 million euros. Money doesn't play in football, but do you think Ukrainian players are stronger than Polish ones?

- There are a lot of good and skilled footballers in Ukraine who play at the top level. If we talk about names or cost, it is one thing, but everything is always shown on the football field. Players have to live up to their price, they have to live up to their performance on the football field. I think you said it right, that football is a game, not money. It doesn't matter what the cost is. The main thing is that the team wins.
