Sergei Rebrov: "We lost all the standards, we lost all the fight".

Head coach of the Ukraine national team Serhiy Rebrov in the air of MEGOGO summarized the results of the friendly match with Poland (1-3), which took place last Friday, June 7, in Warsaw.

- I can't say we played badly today, but we lost all the standards, lost all the fight. Soccer consists of components. If you lose any of the components, you lose the match.

- Was there anything positive in this match?

- There were a lot of positive things. This is a very important experience before the Euro. We will analyze this game and, I am sure, make conclusions.

- The main thing that we failed today was the standards?

- I think so. We conceded twice after corners. At the same time, in the second half the opponent created very dangerous moments from corners. We need to work on it. We know what our problems are and we are working on them.

- It seemed that in the second half your team managed to dominate the opponent's field more than in the first half....

- I can`t say that. I think we controlled the ball well in both halves, but before the break there was not enough running behind the back in our game. We need more such moments. After the break we were losing 1:3, so we played sharper and, I think, created chances.

- How do you like the game of the experimental pair of center backs Taloverov - Bondar?

- They both played in the starting lineup of the Ukraine national team for the first time. Therefore, it was not easy for them to come to the game. They gave everything on the field, but there were mistakes. There will be mistakes, that's why there are such matches. I have already said that I am satisfied that we have these three friendly matches - here we can make mistakes and correct them. The main thing will be at the Euros.

- Was the task for the second half to get back or to work out a certain setup for the game?

- If they say that the result in friendly matches is not important, I think it is not true. You saw that the guys did not want to lose, so they went forward and created chances. Yes, there were mistakes when Poland went on the counterattack. This game, we will analyze and prepare.

- Dovbik became the Lion of the Match today. How do you like his game?

- He did well, he scored a goal. But I think that this game is not about the "Lion of the Match".

- Can we expect in a friendly match with Moldova our base lineup for the Euro, or will it remain a mystery for everyone?

- We'll see. (Smiles).
