Belgium striker Jérémy Doku commented on his national team's victory in yesterday's friendly match against Luxembourg (3-0).
"It was a classy victory. We tried to learn from our mistakes in the last friendly match (with Montenegro, 2:0 - ed.). And we clearly showed that when we clearly follow the coach's instructions, we can show a great game. We are very happy that today we managed to do it.
Montenegro and Luxembourg are teams that play with a low block. It was important to play against them, because our group rivals at Euro 2024 (Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia) play in a similar manner, and we will face similar difficulties. Therefore, two such friendlies were a good, useful test for us, and we showed that we know how to find space and create chances.
We are progressing with every match. But there is always something to improve, and now we are determined to do just that. In general, of course, all of us can't wait to start playing at the Euros - we are literally counting the days until our first match there," Doku said on the air of Belgian broadcaster RTBF.
