On June 7, the Ukrainian national team played a friendly match against Poland in Warsaw (1-3). Defender Maksym Taloverov shared his thoughts on the game.
"The beginning of the match was not good for us. The Poles capitalized on a set piece, and it became difficult for us. Despite the fact that we dominated the rest of the game, Poland played better overall. I think this is a good lesson for us. We still have time to practice our standards and take them more seriously in the future.
I can't say that in the first half we lacked any components for attack. I think we had two or three one-on-one opportunities, but we missed some very unfortunate goals. We played the game and had chances - it's not a bad result.
Of course, Robert Lewandowski is a fantastic player. It's a pleasure to play against such players, because you always improve with them. I'm very happy because it was my debut game in the starting lineup of the Ukrainian national team. It's sad, of course, when you concede three times, but that's football. We have time to fix what we did not do in the match against Poland. We will be ready in a week," Taloverov said.
Готовы к чему? Если к чемпионату, то надо меньше болтать и молча работать, а если к интервью, тогда всё в порядке уже сейчас.
