Shakhtar Donetsk and Ukraine national team defender Valeriy Bondar has named the reasons for the 1-3 defeat to Poland.
- The team lost, and we played poorly on set pieces. At the moment of the missed goal, I probably disoriented Bushchan. I should have not gone for the ball or finished it. We conceded three goals due to mistakes. Then we got one back, but in the second half we failed to score.
Poland knows how to defend well, and they kept this result. It's better if we lose in a friendly match and win all the matches in the group and reach the Euro 2024 playoffs," Bondar was quoted as saying by vZbirna.
