Ukraine's full team trains in Chisinau

The Ukrainian national team continues its preparations for Euro 2024. On Monday, the Blue and Yellows arrived in Chisinau, where they will play their final friendly match before the European Championship against the Moldovan national team. On the same day, the Ukrainian national team held an official training session at Zimbru Stadium, where the sparring match with the Moldovans will take place today.

Chisinau has high humidity, which, combined with the temperature (plus 29 degrees Celsius), creates a feeling of suffocation. So the weather conditions are different from those in Warsaw, which saw off the blue and yellows today with rain.

The flight to Chisinau lasted almost two hours. From the airport, the blue and yellows immediately went to the hotel and after lunch and a short rest went to the Zimbru stadium, where the Moldovan national team traditionally plays its matches. The arena is small, with a capacity of 10,500 spectators. The stands are low, so residents of the neighboring high-rise buildings don't have to worry about tickets to watch the matches. Nevertheless, the stadium is expected to be almost sold out tomorrow: 9,000 tickets have been purchased so far.

Stepping on the arena's turf, the Ukrainians immediately felt the hospitality and support of the hosts, which was certainly nice. The stadium screen first displayed "Welcome!" in large letters, which later changed to "Good luck at the Euro!".

The evening official session was attended by the entire team announced for Euro 2024. As befits a pre-game training session, it was devoted to the tactical construction of tomorrow's game. In particular, on the instructions of Serhii Rebrov, the players practiced passes and various options for completing an attack with shots on goal.

The friendly match between Moldova and Ukraine will start at 19:00 Kyiv time. The next day, on June 12, the Blue and Yellows will arrive at their permanent location for Euro 2024 - the city of Wiesbaden.
