Vitaliy Khmelnitsky (1943-2019) is a former footballer who played at the position of an extreme striker. The best period of his career Vitaliy Grigorievich spent in Kiev "Dynamo", whose colors he defended from 1965 to 1972. During this time Khmelnitsky became a four-time champion of the USSR and two-time winner of the National Cup. After his career Vitaly worked as a coach in the soccer school of Kyiv "Dynamo". Today is also the 91st anniversary of the Dynamo stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskiy. The arena received its current name in May 2002 after Lobanovskiy's death. The stadium is the property of FC Dynamo. In 2018, the final of the Women's Champions League was held here.
