The youth national team of Ukraine (players not older than 2008) continues preparations for the Euro 2025 qualifying round (U-17).

On June 15, the U-16 youth national team will begin a training camp, during which the blue and yellows will take part in the Dream Cup 2024 international tournament to be held in Japan. There, in addition to the hosts, our young men will meet the teams of Senegal and Venezuela.
On the eve of this work, the head coach of the Ukrainians Yuriy Moroz answered questions from the official website of the UAF.
- Yurii Leontiiovych, what are the main tasks facing the coaching staff at the upcoming training camp?
- First of all, we want to look at new candidates for this team, as we have to play in the qualifying round of the European Championship in the fall, and there is not much time left. We also want to set the team the direction that our coaching staff is striving for.
- Will this be the last training camp before the official matches that will take place in October?
- We have one more stage of preparation in mind, but again, it's all just on paper for now. I really hope that we will gather again before the qualifying tournament.
- Compared to the last training camp, you have renewed the squad by 60 percent...
- Yes, it is. There are many players who deserve to be called up to the national team. And as I said, there is not much time, but I want to cover as much as possible.
-At the upcoming stage of preparation, the national team of Ukraine will play three matches in fivedays, but you have only 18 players in your squad.Isn't that a bit small?
- Of course, I would like to have more players, but unfortunately, these are the conditions of the host country.
- The Blue and Yellows have to play exotic teams for Ukraine (Japan, Senegal, Venezuela). Do you know anything about the opponents?
- We have more information about Japan, whom we will play in the first match. And we will get to know the other opponents better at the tournament itself.
I am sure that this will be an interesting and useful competition for the Ukrainian national team, which will meet representatives of different continents and different football philosophies. The only thing that worries me is whether our guys will have time to acclimatize in the two days we will have before the start of the tournament...
