Romanian coach Razvan Lucescu refused to leave Greek PAOK, although he had offers from Italy and Turkey.
According to Romanian media reports, Lucescu Jr. was recently in Rome, where he met and negotiated with the management of Cagliari. After this meeting, his father Mircea Lucescu gave an interview to Tuttomercatoweb, in which he said that Razvan would continue to work at PAOK because of the pressure from the fans.
- "My son was supposed to leave, but then the PAOK fans started to put a lot of pressure on him. They asked him to stay for the Champions League. He is still young. Who knows, maybe in the future... Did I try to convince him? No, I didn't. Because I'm sure it's better to play in the Champions League than to fight to avoid relegation," said Mircea Lucescu.
Razvan also turned down Turkish side Besiktas.
