It has been a great honor and joy for me to play for the club for such a long time. This club and its fans are special - and to me they are more than that.
I would also like to thank all the club staff who do an outstanding job for this Borussia Dortmund, and of course the countless fantastic coaches and teammates I have worked and played alongside.
I will miss you all," Hummels said.
