General Director of LNZ: "We were shocked by Duluth's financial wishes..."

LNZ CEO Andriy Kolisnyk commented on the information that the former head coach Oleh Dulub wanted a 4-fold salary increase.

Oleg Dulub

"First of all, Oleh Anatoliyovych and the team have fulfilled the task - LNZ has secured a foothold in the UPL in its first season. We believed in the competence of this head coach and, as we can see, we were not mistaken with the choice in a situation when it was necessary to calm the team's starting jitters at the beginning of the debut season in the UPL. Oleg Dulub clearly demonstrated his level and achieved the required result.

Oleg Anatolyevich's contract was about to expire after the last season. We discussed the terms of a new contract, but the coach expressed financial wishes that we simply cannot fulfill. It's incorrect to talk about the amounts because it's confidential information, but to be honest, we were shocked by these wishes. I think that this level of salary would be 2-3 among the UPL coaches. We cannot afford it at this stage. That's why we couldn't agree on a new deal," Kolisnyk said.
