Scotland head coach Steven Clarke commented on the defeat from Germany in the opening match of Euro 2024.
"Such matches are always difficult. You have to give Germany credit for that. People had questions about their performance in the tournament but we knew they would be good. It was their first competitive match in a long time and that was evident in the first half.
Germany were unstoppable and unfortunately we couldn't compete with them. We let things slip very quickly in the first half. We couldn't get a foothold in the game. What we need to do is still waiting ahead. That's what we need to focus on. It all depends on the reaction, so let's see how they react. The goal is four points in the next two matches," Clarke is quoted as saying by UEFA's official website.
