In that meeting, which took place in Turin, Italy, as many as seven goals were scored and the Ukrainians celebrated a 4-3 victory. Gabriel Torje, Denis Alibek and Nicolae Stanciu scored for Romania (the latter two are included in the team's application for Euro 2024), while Roman Zozulya, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Yevhen Konoplyanka and Andriy Yarmolenko scored for the Blue-Yellows.
