Last Tuesday, Chornomorets Odessa came out of vacation and held the first training session at their club base in Sauvignon.
Head coach Roman Grigorchuk, whose contract with the Odessa club expires in 5 days, on June 30, was absent at this training session. His closest assistant Mykhailo Savka, who has been working with Grigorchuk since his first cadence at Chornomorets, was also absent.
In their absence, the training session was conducted by two longtime assistant head coaches - Stepan Matviev and Andriy Glushchenko, as well as former Chernomorets player Serhiy Politylo, who has been entrusted with coaching duties.
Grigorchuk's absence is due to two reasons. One of them concerns the issues of possible extension of his contract with Chornomorets, and the other - with receiving an offer to become at the helm of Baku Neftchi. Which club Roman Grigorchuk will coach in the near future will be known soon.
