Ukraine's goalkeeping coach Rustam Khudzhamov told us how the team plans to respond to the unsuccessful result in the first match at Euro 2024.
"First of all, I want to thank our fans who were worried about us everywhere: in the trenches, in the dugouts, or just at home in front of the TV. I want to thank you for the opportunity to be here. I am confident that the situation with the result in the match against Romania will not happen again.
Instead of apologizing, I will say the following: we, the coaching staff, will set up the guys so that 11 hungry dogs will take the field.
We cannot do anything about the last match against Romania - it has already been played, but we need to take the experience from it and turn it into a plus. It's not easy, of course, but it has to be done. We have to fix everything. Most importantly, every player's eyes are burning in the team and, judging by the conversations that are currently prevailing in the team, I hope that everything will be different," Khudzhamov said on the UAF Youtube channel.
