- "It was my mistake because I stood in front of my opponent incorrectly. I had to turn my body around and see both the ball and my opponent. Even if I hadn't gotten the ball there, I could have felt my opponent with my elbow and somehow prevented him from striking. And so it all happened very quickly from the out, I had already taken the wrong position and then simply did not calculate the distance of my jump. I just didn't reach the ball.

The first mistake was the wrong position of my body. Because I did not see my opponent at all, where he was. Whether he was a step or two behind me, or very close to me, or very far away. I have to see both my opponent and the ball. Secondly, I had time, even though I took the wrong position, to find the right timing of the jump and play the ball, but unfortunately, I did neither the first nor the second. And we missed the ball," Zinchenko said in a commentary to the UAF Youtube channel.
