In the match of the 3rd round of the Euro 2024 group stage between the national teams of Hungary and Scotland, an accident occurred, as a result of which the Hungarian striker Barnabas Varga suffered a head injury.
In the 70th minute of the match, Barnabas Varga collided with Scottish goalkeeper Angus Gunn, after which the 29-year-old striker immediately fell to the turf and barely moved his body. The player was assisted for a long time and left the field on a moving stretcher. In addition, Varga was also covered with a screen and taken out of the stadium.
It is now known that Barnabas Varga suffered several broken bones in his face and a concussion.
