Dynamo Kyiv forward Matvii Ponomarenko shared his expectations for the preparatory period for the start of the new season.
- "I'm in a good mood, we've already had two training sessions, and today we're undergoing a routine medical examination.
On vacation, I went on vacation with my parents for two weeks, completely disconnected from football, and then I started training individually in the gym, preparing for the start of the pre-season.
In the group, we are given a training program, we are told what kind of running work we have to do and what to focus on in the gym.
The doctors said that my health is fine, and I have no complaints. Now I have to pass the training camp and prove myself 100%. There is always competition at the training camp, everyone wants to prove themselves on the football field. Everyone is given a chance, and based on what they have seen in training and sparring sessions, the coaching staff will decide who will play in official matches.
We have tough games ahead of us, so we need to approach them in good shape and in a good mood. We will give 100% in training, and then success will definitely be on our side," said the Dynamo player.
