Roy Keane: "It's hard to impress me, but Palmer did it"

Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane noted Cole Palmer's substitution in the Euro 2024 group stage match against Slovenia (0:0).

"Cole is a very unpredictable player. Every time he gets the ball, Palmer can come up with something. It's hard to impress me, but he managed to do it. I think Cole believes he deserves a starting spot. He is unlikely to be happy that he is just in the England squad for Euro 2024," the Daily Mail quoted Keane as saying.

England head coach Gareth Southgate replaced Bukayo Saka in the 71st minute of the match, and Palmer played his first 20 minutes at the Euros.
