Viktor Tsygankov: "Unfortunately, this is not the Euro I dreamed of"

Ukraine midfielder Viktor Tsygankov commented on the national team's performance at Euro 2024.

"Unfortunately, this is not the kind of Euro I dreamed of. To prepare for so much time mentally and physically to finish it at the very beginning of the first game...

There are no excuses, only pain and disappointment. I wanted to give positive emotions to my family, friends, and the Ukrainian people, but I failed. Despite all the bad things that happen, I'm waiting for the next chance to start again. And as long as I'm playing football, I'm not going to give up. Because giving up is definitely not about Ukrainians. And definitely not about me.

I thank people for their support during this short period. The team reacted to the setback correctly and showed that we can compete with everyone.

I really believe that we will still have something to celebrate," Tsygankov wrote on his Instagram page.
