Former Ukraine midfielder Yevhen Levchenko believes that the current head coach of the Ukrainian national team Serhiy Rebrov should remain in his position.
"I don't know how Rebrov can be fired and for what. The team has potential. If the players believe in this coach, then the problem is not in him. The coach must draw conclusions, find the reason why it happened like that in the first match.
In my opinion, we should give a chance to a progressing coach who has a feel for the game. I would not chop from the shoulder. For me, the situation when everything is blamed on the coach is not very good. The whole team is to blame for the failure of the first match.
The difficult situation is that when you are the head coach and vice-president of the UAF - it can not be normal. As I understand, as the Dutch say, the vice-president and the coach - it can't be one person. There is a certain conflict here for me. But in general, I wouldn't say that the coach should be fired. I am categorically against it," Levchenko said.
