The head coach of Khust Volodymyr Tsytkin confirmed to Tribuna.com that the club may refuse to participate in the next season of the first league.

- Is the information about the termination of Khust's existence true? Earlier it was reported that the club was planning to merge with Podolyany from Ternopil, but now, on the contrary, there is evidence that they failed to reach an agreement.
- Yes, it's true, there were negotiations, but the presidents did not agree, so we will not be with Podolyany. As for our team, there is no information yet. The club is looking for opportunities to take part in the First League draw, but as of today I can't say anything specifically about how it will look. The president is trying to find an opportunity to play in the first league. We will know how it will be later. There is nothing to talk about now.
- Why did you fail to reach an agreement with Podolyany?
- I understand that both in terms of finances and players. Well, we failed to reach an agreement.
- If the club does play in the First League, is it possible to return to Zakarpattia?
- I can't say that either. It depends on whether the club will exist and in what format. Today, whatever I say will be preliminary information.
- What is the approximate time frame for resolving the issue?
- I think that in any case, we will know for sure within a week or two. The Federation has to draw up a calendar of championships and everything else. The situation is now such that it is not known what will happen in the top league, how many teams will play, who will play - and the same is true for us [in the PFL]. We are looking for opportunities.
