"In the group, only Ukraine showed effective individual and team play against us," Belgium midfielder

Belgium midfielder Juri Thielemans briefly assessed his national team's matches at the group stage of Euro 2024.

"I believe that in the group stage the game shown by the Belgian national team was not as bad as they say.

We lost to Slovakia because of a single individual mistake. If we had scored first, that match would have ended with a completely different result. With Romania we fully showed our strength and created a lot of chances. And only Ukraine showed effective individual and team play against us," WalFoot quoted Tielemans as saying.
