Ex-Dynamo player "helped" the Portuguese goalkeeper to set two records in the history of European Championships (PHOTO)

Portuguese goalkeeper Diogo Costa made history at the European Championships after yesterday's match of his national team in the 1/4 finals of Euro 2024 against Slovenia (0:0, on penalties - 3:0).

The 24-year-old goalkeeper became the first player to convert three penalty kicks in the penalty shootout of a Euro match. In addition, no one in the history of the European Championship has ever managed to miss a penalty shootout before.

It should be noted that former Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Benjamin Verbic took part in setting these two records in one way or another: he was one of those in the Slovenian national team (and the third in a row), whose shot from the spot was dealt with by Kosta.
