"It was a big mistake for Rotan to lead the Olympic team" - journalist

"I believe that it was a big mistake for Ruslan Rotan to lead the Ukrainian Olympic team. There is nothing left of the team that stopped in the Euro semifinals last year. Almost none of the leading players of the 2023 youth national team are going to the Olympics in Paris.

Ruslan Petrovych needs to prepare a virtually new team, for which he cannot be responsible a priori. Because he has hardly worked with these players. It turns out that the coach and his staff are old, and all the players are new. In such circumstances, there is no need to demand or expect anything.

Probably the logical and correct step would be for the current youth national team of Ukraine, led by Unai Melhosa, to go to the Olympics with the coaching staff. It would be logical and more beneficial in terms of player development," Serhiy wrote on Telegram.

Честно, не понимаю тогда всех восторгов, когда сборная Украины получила право выступить на Олимпиаде... Кричали - невиданный успех, впервые!.. А теперь собирают с миру по нитке игроков...
