"I think that not only I, but the coaching staff of the Olympic team is also dissatisfied with what they have, this in terms of players who were supposed to play at the Olympics. Frankly, I'm surprised. I understand that our soccer clubs set their own goals, but Ukraine made it to the Olympics for the first time. I think they needed to strengthen our Olympic team. Trubin and Bondarenko would have strengthened it.

For me, these are the players our national team needs. I understand that Shakhtar will not let Sudakov go, but they let at least Kryskiv and Sikan go, thank God, it's not bad. Well, Dynamo could let Nescheret go, if Trubin is absent. I don't know why it happened, he wanted to play at the Olympics. Why did Shakhtar let Sikan and Krys'kiv go, but not Sudakov and Bondarenko?

This is not a question for me, each coach thinks for his team. The federation cannot influence it, the clubs have their own objectives, they need to qualify for the Champions League. They will not postpone the start of the UPL either, although I think that without Bondarenko and Sudakov, Shakhtar would have won in the first and second rounds. I don't know, I think so. As far as I know, the guys really wanted to play at the Olympic Games," Sharan said.
