France forward Kylian Mbappe shared his opinion about Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the face-off in the 1/4 finals of Euro 2024.
"He is special. There will never be another Ronaldo. He has inspired a whole generation. He has goals and trophies behind his cries, the track record is unbelievable. But hopefully he will be disappointed.
Ronaldo is a legend, but we shouldn't forget the other players who pose a threat. We need to watch out for all Portuguese players, not fixate on one. When you ignore great footballers, it tends to be costly.
We have ambitions to become European champions, but first we need to reach the semi-finals. We need to make a big step in a match against a very big team. At the moment we are only focused on that, not on what has happened so far and not on what might happen afterwards," Mbappe is quoted as saying by UEFA's official website.
