Romania midfielder Nicolae Stanciu at the regulation pre-match press conference shared his expectations of his team's starting match at Euro 2024 - against Ukraine.

"The performance of the Romanian national team at Euro-2024 is unique for each of the players of the team. But the match with Ukraine (3:0 - ed.) is certainly something! Both in terms of the game itself and its result, and in terms of emotions that we experienced together with our fans after the final whistle.

Yes, we didn't make it past the 1/8 finals, but now there is no room for regrets: we achieved the best result in the last 24 years, and I don't want to talk about other things. On the other hand, we don't consider ourselves any exceptional for having achieved such results," DigiSport quotes Stanciu as saying.
