"Van Leeuwen at Shakhtar was devoured by the likes of Sudakov" - journalist

Journalist Mykhailo Spivakovsky spoke about the discipline of the players of the Ukrainian national team for Euro 2024.

- "Our golden boys need to be trained, to put their heads in their mouths. And this is again about pedagogical balance, because every coach has to deal with this in a respectable national team where there are millionaires in the locker room. Every coach has to find a balance between discipline and team relations.

We saw how this balance did not work for van Leeuwen at Shakhtar. I think van Leeuwen would not have shown any mercy to either Sudakov or Mudryk if they had played under him at Shakhtar.
