Leonid Buriak, former coach of Dynamo Kyiv and the Ukrainian national team, commented on the statement by host Igor Tsyhanyk about his alleged conflict with Andriy Shevchenko during the Euro 2004 qualifiers.

On the YouTube channel Fantastic Football, Ihor Tsyhanyk told a story that allegedly happened during the Ukraine-Spain 2:2 match in the Euro 2004 qualifiers. Back then, Buryak was the head coach of the Ukrainian national team. According to the journalist, Shevchenko had a conflict with the coach after he replaced him in the second half and the Blue and Yellows conceded two goals.
