England left-back Luke Shaw has responded to criticism of the team's head coach Gareth Southgate.
"I don't understand the criticism of Southgate. Look at what he has done for the country and for the players - he has taken us to a new level. No coach has been as successful as he has been in recent years.
The players love him, he is exactly what we need. He allows us to go out on the field and perform at our best. He believed in me and put a lot of trust in me by including me in the national team," Shaw was quoted as saying by the BBC.
