David Alaba, the defender of Real Madrid and the Austrian national team, has not yet played a single match in 2024.
The experienced defender has been out since mid-December due to a torn cruciate ligament in his knee, which he suffered in a match against Villarreal on December 17.
According to AS, Alaba's recovery will require additional time and could last until 2025, much longer than originally expected. Now it is difficult for Alaba to move around on his own, and he is still far from being able to start running.
Due to this injury, the Austrian defender missed Euro 2024. He was on the bench for the entire duration of his team's participation in the tournament.
