During a meeting of the UAF Executive Committee on July 10, among other things, issues related to competitions in the UPL and PFL were considered.
After hearing reports from UPL President Yevhen Dykyi and PFL President Oleksandr Kadenko, the members of the Executive Committee approved the results of the 2023/2024 season in the UPL and among the teams of UPL U-19 clubs, as well as among the teams of PFL clubs.
The executive committee also approved a calendar plan for each of the professional leagues. The first matches of the 2024/2025 season in the UPL will take place on August 3, in the first and second leagues of the PFL - on August 3 and 4.
During the discussion of the Regulations of the Ukrainian Football Championship among the teams of UPL clubs for the 2024/2025 season, one of the key issues was the possible postponement of matches.
Based on the proposal of the head coach of the national team Serhiy Rebrov, given the holding of the Ukrainian championship under martial law, it was voted that the UAF National Teams Committee, if necessary, may apply to the UPL Directorate with a proposal to postpone certain matches of the championship to a reserve date.
