Former England defender Gary Neville has given his opinion on current England national team striker Harry Kane.

"I spoke to Wayne Rooney recently, before Euro 2024 even started, and he told me that Kane is the greatest player in the history of the England national team. That's huge praise from a man who has played for the national team himself.

And I wouldn't argue with such a statement. Kane is simply incredible. I always praised him when he played at Tottenham, because you know very well that he will help the team. He has a strong character.

But at this Euros he is playing clearly below his capabilities. He seems to be having injury problems and I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out soon that he has had difficulties which he has struggled to cope with over the course of the tournament," Sky Sports quoted Neville as saying.
