Euro 2024 (U-19). Group round. Group "A"
Northern Ireland - Ukraine - 0: 0
Ukraine: Krapyvtsov, Ogarkov (Drozd, 87), Mikhavko, Melnychenko (k), Gusev, Vashchenko (Obinaya, 87), Matkevich (Shevchenko, 87), Tsukanov, Hadzhiev, Synchuk, Bogdanov (Tutierov, 73).

The first half was dominated by the blue and yellows, who controlled the ball more and struck three shots on target, but attempts to score by Ramik Hajiyev, Dmytro Bogdanov and Andriy Matkevich were nullified by the home goalkeeper Pierce Charles.
However, it was the Irish who had the best chance to open the scoring. In the second compensated minute of the first half, Braden Graham went one-on-one with our goalkeeper, but failed to beat Vladyslav Krapivtsov.
The second half followed the same scenario. The Ukrainians had possession of the ball and made several good shots at the opposition goal. However, they were able to create a real scoring chance only once. In the 73rd minute, Gennady Synchuk received a great pass in the opponent's penalty area and seemed to shoot irresistibly into the far corner. But the home goalkeeper miraculously reacted and put the ball out for a corner.
Under the curtain of the match, Dmytro Mykhailenko made a triple substitution, but it did not help our team to snatch the victory - 0: 0.
In the second match of Group A, Italy defeated Norway 2-1.
Ukraine's next match at Euro 2024 (U-19) will be held on Thursday, July 18, in Belfast against Norway.
