"Sportyvkaconfirms that 73-year-old Myron Markevych has resigned as head coach of Karpaty.
Myron Markevych was dissatisfied not only with the team's personnel, as previously reported. Markevych did not like the appointments in the management of the Green and Whites. The leadership of the Lviv club was made up of people with whom the now ex-coach did not want to work (we are not talking about the new CEO Andriy Rusol). Rusol himself, whom the experienced coach treats well, persuaded Myron Markevych not to "cut him off" and stay. However, Markevych's decision proved to be unwavering, and he finally decided to leave the coaching position of the team from Lviv.
The club has almost decided on a new head coach - most likely, Vladyslav Lupashko will lead the Lions. This summer, the 37-year-old specialist joined Karpaty U-19, but it was clear to everyone why he was moving to the club. Thus, now Lupashko has waited for his chance and is likely to become the coach of the Lviv team in the near future, the source writes.
