Former Dnipro-1 midfielder Serhiy Panasenko commented on the situation with his former club, which has been relegated from the UPL.

Serhiy Panasenko during his performances for Dnipro-1

- I don't understand the situation, everything was fine. Great players, a great team, and at one point - no club. Although at the end of the last championship the guys were promised that everything would be fine, they would be paid everything and the European Cups as well. The investor disappeared along with the money. Now there is no club and no players. Such a big city as Dnipro without a football club is a tin can.

- During the period when you played for Dnipro-1, were there any problems with payments?

- There has always been a history of salary delays at Dnipro-1, and everyone knew about it. We could not receive a salary for three months, and then we would receive money for two months at once. Or two months would pass and they would give us one salary, in different ways. We understood, and everything was solid.

When I arrived, SC Dnipro-1 had just been revived, or so it would seem. Rusol was doing everything at the highest level, and when I left and there was a certain debt of four months to me, I was paid everything. Maybe those who had higher salaries had some difficulties, but I had an average salary and everything was done in a solid manner, with full payment to me.

- It is said that when Dnipro-1 was in the Second and First Leagues, Yurii Bereza was more involved in club affairs. did you communicate with him?

- Yes, he made several organized trips to his restaurant for meat. I know Yurii Mykolaiovych and his son Maksym(Maksym Bereza is the honorary president of Dnipro-1 - ed.) This is the kind of team building he did for the team.
