"What happened happened to me and Frank Lampard Sr. who was my assistant at the time.

He helped bring in two players to watch, one of whom was Andriy Shevchenko. We agreed to play against Barnet's reserve team. Shevchenko scored two goals in that game and we liked him, but he cost about a million pounds at the time.
