Gary Mellor- The biggest deal I was involved in that fell through? Yarmolenko's move to Stoke City when he was at the peak of his career. I flew to Kiev and spent a lot of time with him. Mark Hughes (Stoke City head coach from 2013 to 2018, - ed.) also met with him.
And I met with him.
"Four years later Yarmolenko moved to West Ham, but I think he would have been great at Stoke City in that period," Mellor said.
