Defender of the Ukrainian Olympic team Arseniy Batagov shared his expectations from the start of the 2024 Olympics.
"I have already managed to communicate with everyone - both with partners and with the coaching staff. My mood is very good, because I have been waiting for a long time to arrive at the national team camp. We are preparing for the first match at the Olympic Games. There are four other teams in the hotel where we are staying. It's like an Olympic village.
Yesterday was the first training session in Lyon, and I see that I don't need to catch up in terms of physical fitness. I've been training with my team and the training was hard, so I'm sure I'm ready.
At the Olympic Games, I want to go as far as possible. When we were with this team at Euro 2023, we didn't really believe that we would go this far. But we are here, and that's why I want us to create some kind of miracle at the Olympics," Batagov said.
