On July 12, Poltava Vorskla president Roman Chernyak publicly announced that the club had applied to the Poltava city council with a request to transfer the city's main sports arena - the Vorskla stadium named after Oleksiy Butovskyy - from the balance of the Poltava territorial community to the ownership of the soccer club.
According to "Poltavshchina","Vorskla" has long nurtured the project of reconstruction of its home stadium. It is planned to demolish the existing structure and build a new stadium for about 8,500 seats in its place. Parking, commercial premises and a business center are envisaged.
It should be noted that now the stadium "Vorskla" named after Oleksiy Butovskiy, which was opened in the 1950s, seats about 24,795 spectators.
