"A draw with Dinamo will suit us," - captain of Partizan

Belgrade Partizan captain and defender Svetozar Markovic told what he thinks about his team's first match against Dynamo Kyiv in the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League, which will take place today in Lublin.

"In Friday's match against Napredak (1:0, the first round of the Serbian championship - ed.) we didn't manage to play the way we wanted, but it's only the beginning of the season. We are all working on correcting our mistakes and we want everything to look the way it should in the match with Dinamo.

As for our opponent, Dynamo is a great team, which will not be easy to play against. We are doing our best to prepare for this match as best as possible.

If we talk about the attacking players of Kyiv, then first of all we should name Yarmolenko. There are not even any words. But not only him can be mentioned: Dynamo has a very high quality both in terms of players and team play.

"Dynamo" is a favorite on paper, but this fact takes some pressure off us. So we will prepare for the match as much as possible and try to achieve a positive result. Of course, the victory would be the best option, and we will try to achieve it. But, first of all, we need to be smart, because this is a two-match elimination match. So a draw before the return leg in Belgrade would be fine with us. In any case, I repeat, we need to be smart," Markovic said during the pre-match press conference.
