The press service of Dynamo Kyiv has released an official statement on the eve of the club's first match of the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League against Partizan Serbia.
"Today Ukraine is going through the most difficult period of its history due to the bloody war with the terrorist country. That is why FC Dynamo condemns all those who help Russia, in particular, support Russian sports. Especially when it is done by representatives of European countries that support Ukraine.
Taking this into account and given the recent participation of FC Partizan in competitions in Russia, we have decided to cancel all bilateral events between the clubs that were to take place in the context of the match. We have also decided not to allow away fans to attend the stadiums.
At the same time, despite the draw results, our club is part of the UEFA family, we respect global football principles and traditions, respect our opponents and adhere to the principle of fair play on and off the field.
We are ready to compete and defeat any opponent in sports. In this way, we prove the European nature and openness of our country and Ukrainian sport."
