The press-service of French Bordeaux has issued an official statement in connection with the club's relegation to the third division of the French championship.
"FSG representatives have notified Bordeaux and its shareholders of their unwillingness to become investors in the club, despite the assurances previously provided.
Therefore, due to the lack of new investors, Bordeaux has withdrawn the appeal lodged against the DNCG's decision of July 9, 2024 and accepts the sanction of administrative relegation to the National Championship 1 for the 2024/2025 season.
This period should allow Bordeaux to come back stronger. The Club and its shareholder assure the fans of their desire to defend the interests of the Club", - stated in the message.
