Head coach of the U-19 national team Dmytro Mykhailenko commented on his team's0-1 defeat by France in the 1/2 finals of Euro 2024 (U-19).

"We were competitive, created chances in both the first and second halves. I would like us to control the ball better and calmer, then we would have more energy to attack.

We created pressure with our character, desire and willingness to pull something extra out of ourselves, and with a little more luck, we could have scored. All the players proved themselves. Everyone did well, gave their all and showed their skills.

Emotions will pass a little bit, and we will look at the game and the result differently. For me, there is a great positive in the fact that we have reached the final part of the World Cup, we are among the quartet of the best teams in Europe.

We need to work hard, the players felt the level and standards to which we need to grow. They cried in the locker room, they were disappointed because it was not a one-goal game. We need to work harder, demand more from our players. They can do more. We just need to set goals and go for them," Mykhailenko was quoted as saying by the UAF telegram channel.
