The players of Metalist 1925 will ask their coach Viktor Skrypnyk to stay at the club after losing in the semifinals of the Tournament of Four. After this defeat, the Kharkiv team finally lost their chances to participate in the elite division of the Ukrainian championship in the new season.
"After the first semifinal match of the Tournament of Four between Livyi Bereh and Metalist 1925, we talked to several leading players of the Kharkiv club. They assured us that they will talk to the head coach Viktor Skrypnyk and representatives of the club's management to make a balanced decision about the future of the Ukrainian specialist in the team, rather than an emotional one.
We would like to add that Skrypnyk left the Left Bank arena with his belongings five minutes after the match ended. His assistants were unable to confirm the objectivity of the information about his resignation," the statement said.
