Olympiacos fans: "Yaremchuk looks like a Greek god"

Greek fans are happy with Roman Yaremchuk's move to Olympiacos. Despite the fact that the Ukrainian forward had some problems at the club level in recent years, he managed to impress everyone in matches for the Ukrainian national team. In particular, the Greeks praised Yaremchuk's goal against Slovakia at Euro 2024. Olympiacos fans expect a lot of goals and spectacular play from the Ukrainian. They point out that Yaremchuk has the potential not only to become a player in the main team, but also to leave a mark in the club's history.

Thanasis: Welcome to Olympiacos. Players like Yaremchuk should help us return to first place in Greece and do well in European competitions again. Such a big club should always fight only for gold medals. Unfortunately, the team has experienced a certain decline. But with a good coach and strong players, we will return to where we should be.

Ermannos: Let's see what he will show in Greece. Yaremchuk can score, he has good data, and he had good statistics before joining Brugge. I think that in Greece he will get more game practice and will be able to return to a high level.

Karampilakis: I saw Yaremchuk play for the Ukrainian national team and I can say that I was really impressed. To buy such a good player for a modest amount of money is a very good deal for Olympiacos.

Drakos: Either we're going to sell El Kaabi, or I'm missing something. In general, these are forwards of a similar type, only Yaremchuk is slower and less technical. Perhaps he is a replacement for the Moroccan or the Ukrainian agreed to be a reserve again.

Manos: My God, what a player he is... I remember the last match of the Ukrainian national team against Slovakia. Yaremchuk's appearance turned the whole game around and made the defense nervous! Despite his height, he is very flexible and fast. He is not only a penalty area player, he plays everywhere in the attack. He will be useful with his header on set pieces, but he can also act at speed and run away from defenders. If our midfielders play good passes to him, Yaremchuk will score a lot of goals.

Lelliss: I'm happy that we bought Yaremchuk, but I'm disappointed that we're a little bit late with the purchases. We needed to upgrade the team a long time ago and play a new squad. It's actually August, and we haven't signed many of the players that the coach asked us to buy.

Darlan: For those who doubt the feasibility of buying Yaremchuk, I would like to remind you that we often invite players who are no longer believed in by their clubs. And then these players show themselves perfectly at Olympiacos. Let's have more faith in our scouts. They know what they have to do and who to invite to the team.

Stavros: I watched a cut of 50 of his goals and now I'm really in a pleasant shock. There are goals of the highest level there. The war in Ukraine has had a big impact on Yaremchuk's psychological state, but I think he should have recovered by now.

Mantidakis: Everything is logical. We really needed Yaremchuk. Jovetic left, Fortunis left, El Arabi left, Carvalho left. I'm not talking about the more modest players. "Olympiacos did a great job of upgrading their attack in the summer. I would even say that we need more players in the attacking line. Preferably wingers, but it is possible to play in the center of the field. Qualitatively, we have become stronger, but quantitatively we have lost compared to last season.

Kollimenos: I have high expectations for this player, if he doesn't get injured. Yaremchuk has a huge talent for such a player. He realized his potential in Belgium, but he also scored a lot in Portugal until the war in Ukraine started.

Fetskos: I listened to Yaremchuk's first interview with the club channel. I am glad that he speaks English well. He can probably speak a little French, Portuguese and Spanish. Given our multinational team, as well as the coaching staff from Spain, this will help not only Yaremchuk, but also other players.

Panagis: I've watched a lot of video selections of Yaremchuk's play. I have to say that even in the matches in which he doesn't score goals, he is very useful for the team. He distracts the defenders, he can throw the ball to a teammate, he can join the press and take the ball away. He is not just a forward who stands in someone else's penalty area and waits for the ball.

Lekkos: I am glad that Yaremchuk made a lot of important statements in his first interview. He realizes the responsibility and that a lot is expected of him. He understands that second place is a failure for Olympiacos. He knows how hot the derbies in Greece are and how emotional the fans are. Yaremchuk knows a lot about our club, which means that his choice was not accidental, he had been looking for a new team for a long time. Hopefully, he will feel at home here and play at the highest level again.

Schiza: Yaremchuk played for the best clubs in the country, except for Spain. He played for Dynamo, Brugge and Benfica. He has the character of a winner. He knows what it's like to fight for first place and win awards.

Pittaras: Obviously, this is a coach-specific purchase. José Luis Mendilabar closely follows the Spanish championship and had to see Yaremchuk, who played for Valencia, there. The Ukrainian may not have had his best season there, but he played some good games and showed that he is capable of more if he is put on the field more often.

Evangelos: A good life by the sea, playing for the best club in the country, the love of the fans and a good relationship with the coach. Not only was Olympiacos lucky to buy Yaremchuk, but he was also lucky to find a new club. I hope that Roman will become a new star for Olympiacos.

Alexos: Yaremchuk looks like a Greek god. A tall and handsome man in his prime. If he plays as well as he is expected to, he will quickly become a favorite of the Olympiacos fans.

Skerletidis: I read that Trabzonspor had been persuading Yaremchuk to move to the Turkish league for a long time and he had almost agreed, but Olympiacos came along. As far as I know, financially Yaremchuk chose a less profitable option, but at our club he will definitely be able to win a tournament.

Koufakos: Yaremchuk is a different type of player than El Kaabi. He is already experienced, but not yet old. He has played at the highest level, including the Champions League and the European Championship. He plays consistently for the national team and has scored many beautiful goals. Yaremchuk has to show the rest on the pitch and prove that we have believed in him for a reason.

Fotis: He is fast for his height. In the Greek league, you need a tall forward to constantly fight against closed teams that sit in defense. Yaremchuk is a quality player, as evidenced by the amount of money spent on his transfer throughout his career. He had the makings to play at a much higher level than in Greece, but the fact is that he is now in a decline. Of course, the war affected his game, but Euro 2024 showed that Yaremchuk is returning to his level. For me, this is a good choice of a striker, certainly better than all the other options that our team considered.

Ergatis: A great footballer. He is known for his performances at the Euros. He has talent, he knows everything a center forward needs to know. "Olympiacos knows how to invite the best players to the team.
