Mircea Lucescu: "I will set a world record!"

Former Dynamo Kyiv coach Mircea Lucescu has confirmed the information that he will soon take charge of the Romanian national team.

"Yes, it's true - I spoke with the technical director of the Romanian Football Federation. We had, I think, four meetings. It would be good to persuade former mentor Iordanescu to stay in the team, but... I was always ready to help. I'm going to set a world record! I don't think there is anyone who will return to the national team after so many years," Lucescu said in a commentary for Fanatik.ro.
