Acting head coach of Kharkiv Metalist 1925 Sergiy Karpenko explained why his team's midfielder Denis Garmash missed the first match of the season - against Lokomotiv Kyiv (4:1) in the starting round of the Ukrainian Cup.
"Garmash in training got a microtrauma, so we gave him a pause. He will recover for a couple of days," Ukrainian Football quotes Karpenko as saying.
Recall, Garmash moved to Metalist 1925 in January this year as a free agent, signing a contract until the summer of 2025.
