Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick has vetoed the transfer of Saudi Arabian Al Ittihad midfielder N'Golo Kante, Mundo Deportivo reports.
The Blaugranas' sporting director Deku considered signing the 33-year-old, but the new team coach rejected the idea. The reason for this decision was the age of the French player, as Flick wants to rely on young pupils of the club's academy.
It will be recalled that Kante's current contract with the Saudi club runs until June 30, 2026.
